Solar Physics Topical Issue

The original contribution to the conference would be published in a Topical Collection of the Solar Physics titled "The Many Scales of the Magnetic Sun". The publication is cost-free for the conference and the submitted manuscripts will go through the standard refereeing process. Apart from the original research review papers can also be submitted. While submitting the abstract please mark your interest in submitting your contribution to the Topical Collection.

How to submit: Submission from the home page of Solar Physics is preferred. The advantage of this route is that the journal's home page also contains guidelines for submission and information about open access, which is available for (corresponding) authors from many European countries.

Look for the "Submit manuscript" button. Select “Research” for “Article Type”. The authors will have a chance to select the collection "The Many Scales of the Magnetic Sun" during the submission process.

Deadline: The deadline to submit is 15 August 2023    30 November 2023.


The number of countries Springer has an Open Access agreement is quite wide and growing, and there are many European countries (including Germany), among them: https://www.springernature.com/gp/open-research/institutional-agreements

For Solar Physics, the "Transformative Agreements" shown in the above link are relevant, which, from Europe, include Austria, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK. An important condition is that the corresponding author, who doesn't have to be the lead author, has to be from one of these countries for the paper to be eligible for free Open Access.
