Description
Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) and young stars in high redshift galaxies are believed to be two main sources of photoionizing UV radiation during Epoch of Reionization (EoR), however their relative contribution remains uncertain due to uncertainties related to the ionizing photon escape fractions. While there are detailed studies consistent with observations which conclude that HI ionizing photon budget is dominated by star forming galaxies, the AGN contribution and its impact on the physical properties of the IGM remains unclear.
In this work, we perform Radiation-Hydrodynamic (RHD) simulations of cosmic structure formation using the AMR code RAMSES, with added sink particle implementation for Black Holes (BH) and AGN feedback from OBESLISK project, in order to systematically study the formation and growth of BHs in high redshift galaxies, during the epoch of reionization.
